HB4189 HFA Sponaugle 1-28

            Delegate Sponaugle moves to amend the bill on page 2, line 9, following the date “June 30, 2016” by striking out the period, inserting a colon, and the following proviso:

            “Provided, That notwithstanding any code provision to the contrary, these funds are to be dedicated to the State Fund, General Revenue solely for the purpose of funding shortfalls in the Public Employees Insurance Agency,  therefore shall only be transferred as is necessary by the Governor into the “Public Employees Reserve Fund” created pursuant to section fifteen, article two, chapter eleven-B of this code, and are deemed appropriated by the Legislature to this account when so appropriated, for the sole purposes of preventing premium increases to participants or revenue shortfalls relating to that fund.”
